Mark-W-Powell-MDMark W Powell MD of Harrison Arkansas, is a double board certified orthopedic surgeon and a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas. An accomplished athlete and world class fly fisherman, he completed an orthopedic residency at the University of West Virginia followed by a distinguished sports medicine fellowship at Washington University in St Louis.

Dr. Powell is an advanced expert in arthoscopy and re-constructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, including knee replacement, fracture care, and sports medicine. He is a well respected innovator in orthopedics having designed a clinically-proven, patented splint for the treatment of plantar fasciitis. He has been practicing orthopedics in Fayetteville since 1997, has numerous professional achievements including UAMS Clinical Faculty Teacher of the Year 2000-2001, and is one of the Top 40 under 40 Professionals in Northwest Arkansas.

Dr. Powell’s sports training includes working with the St Louis Rams, St Louis Blues, and Washington Univeristy athletes. He has been the team doctor for Fayetteville High School for 12 years in addition to caring for numerous other athletes and people in all walks of life.
