Stephen M Scheper DOStephen M. Scheper DO of Honolulu Hawaii, is an experienced osteopathic physician who is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in orthopedic medicine, spinal pain and sports medicine. He is known for his exceptional hands-on manipulation skills and a unique appreciation for the importance of structural balance and alignment.

Dr. Scheper is a Consultant Neurophysiatrist at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience. He is trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University, working in acute tertiary care inpatient rehabilitation involving stroke, spinal cord injury and musculoskeletal orthopedic care. While at Emory he served as chief resident of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilation, and on clinical faculty at the Georgia Campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Stephen Scheper completed osteopathic medical school at Ohio University, where he learned the skills of hands-on manipulation of the body and gained an appreciation for how important the structural balance and alignment is on our on overall health. He later trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, concentrating on musculoskeletal orthopedic care as well as inpatient rehabilitation involving stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury and neuromuscular disorders. While in Atlanta, he served as Chief Resident of the Emory Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and on the clinical faculty at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine – Georgia Campus.

Dr. Scheper is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is an active member of the Hawaii Socieity of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Hawaii Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation. He has a budding family with a young daughter, and is committed to serving the Windward community through his church. An avid athlete, he enjoys sports such as surfing, kiting, sailing, mountain biking, soccer, tennis, running and backpacking.
